Imperial Freezer Services

Founded in 1995, Imperial Freezer Services supports the North Carolina poultry industry with topnotch production warehousing services and distribution services. We have grown in size and scope of services, and today offer 3.5 million cu. ft. of temperature-controlled space with a comprehensive distribution services not only for processors, but also for retailers and foodservices companies serving the eastern seaboard.

On-site ownership and management is a major strength of our company. We understand the demands of food safety, product quality, and customer service that exist in the cold supply chain. Value-Added Warehousing
We are active in production warehousing for the poultry industry. Warehousing is our core-expertise: whether 24, 48 or 72 hour blast and room freezing, cross-docking, rail car loads, order picking, export requirements, or handling returned or outdated product. Our customers require both quantity and quality: from high volume production to case intensive picking, load consolidation, and coordinating store-to-store deliveries.

Blast Freezing
Five blast freezing super cells freeze product to 0°F in 24 hours. We also offer 48 and 72-hour blast freezing in standard blast cells and room freezing.

Product Integrity/AIB Superior
All product is protected by state-of-the-art refrigeration monitoring and ADP system security. Based on annual AIB audits, we have achieved the highest rating for sanitation, the Superior Rating. A modern facility, Imperial security, sanitation and refrigeration systems are fully state-of-the art.

Transportation Coordination & Distribution
Imperial’s professional distribution solutions meet today’s logistics’ challenges: inbound, shuttle and outbound transportation, including truckload, LTL and rail service. Rely on Imperial to build your consolidated shipments and continuous moves, or rail shipments via CSX and Norfolk Southern. Cross docking services range from rail to truck to container or any combination required.

Exporting
We offer accurate export preparation, documentation and processing. Onsite USDA inspector supports the daily export activities. We handle all export documentation, stamping, and labeling requirements. We ship via truck, train, or container, with cross docking services as required.

Return Goods Processing
We offer a number of services to help our customers deal with returned or recalled product. These include complete inspection, sorting and culling product; and salvage sales or rendering services, as the situation requires.

Web-Based Inventory Management/EDI
Web-based visibility and order management closes the gap between supply and demand. SSA Global 3PL Warehousing Software delivers real time data on raw material, finished good inventory and account activity. View or print documents such as Receipt and Withdrawal Notices. EDI services are available for data order transmission and integration.
